Maintains the company’s system of accounts and keeps books and records on all company transactions and assets. Assures protection for assets of the business through internal control, internal auditing, and ensuring proper insurance coverage. Support financial decision-making information by collecting, analyzing, investigating, and reporting financial data. Produce financial reports and develop financial and operational strategies. o Plan, organize, and establish objectives and goals for duties assigned o Responsible for timely, accurate and streamlined operations of A/R, A/P, job costing, and payroll functions. o Responsible for all general ledger processing and activity o Working Knowledge of percentage completion accounting, monthly WIP reconciliation. o Provide financial advice by studying operational issues, applying financial principles and practices, developing recommendations o Keeps the President informed of the company’s performance o Responsible for adherence to all corporate accounting policies. o Prepares journal entries, account reconciliations and analysis, supporting schedules, and financial statements for the company. o Respond to financial inquiries by gathering, analyzing, summarizing, and interpreting data. o Manage staff of 2 individuals. o Prepares and reviews tax filings including sales tax, 1099s, heavy use tax, etc. Responsible for tax compliance with all federal, state and local corporate, payroll and other applicable taxes o Assume other special activities and responsibilities from time to time as directed Requirements: o Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Accounting or related field o Solid verbal, written, interpersonal and listening skills o Must work well under pressure o Problem Solving Ability o Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet programs, including strong analytical abilities o Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and contract documents o 5+ years’ experience in construction industry accounting (preferably in commercial roofing) or related field BL Dalsin offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, paid holidays, etc.
